ToolDuck is the AI tool directory with a duck.
ToolDuck (toolduck.com) is an independent directory of AI tools. We try new tools as they launch, keep the ones that do what they promise, and explain each in plain words: what it is for, what it costs and who it suits.
What ToolDuck does
Three things, and we try to do them properly.
- A directory of 107+ tested AI tools, each with its own page covering what it does, pricing, who should use it and the closest alternatives. Browse all tools.
- A live feed of new AI tools, pulled from Product Hunt and Show HN as they launch, so you see what is new today rather than what was new last quarter. See what launched today.
- Comparisons written by people who use the tools: honest articles that name a pick and explain why. Read the articles.
How we rank
By usefulness. Does the tool do the job with the least editing? Does it fit how people already work? Is the price fair for what it does? Reader upvotes feed in. Nobody can pay to move up a list, and when we are paid for something, such as a sponsored placement, it is labelled.
Ratings, saves and upvotes shown on the site are illustrative while ToolDuck is new; we say so in the footer, and we will replace them with real figures as the flock grows.
The Weekly Quack
Our newsletter works differently from most. You tell us what you do, we send you the three tools that work for it, and after that we email you only when a new tool beats one of them. No weekly digest you never open. Join free.
Who is behind it
ToolDuck is built by a small team of founders and operators who got tired of directories that list everything and recommend nothing. The site is run from Limassol, Cyprus. The duck is our editor; it is sceptical by nature.
